Job Responsibilities: What you will do
Ensure tractors are properly equipped with necessary toll tags. Maintain processes that are efficient, eliminate unnecessary waste, minimize possibility of fraud, and ensure full recovery of tolls. Streamline processes in order to create efficiencies and cost savings; assist with identifying customer opportunities for recovery.
- Assists with the issuance of all toll transponders and tags as well as transfers of transponders between trucks, ensuring all units are in compliance with regards to toll authorities.
- Identifies cost savings opportunities and communicate to Asset Compliance Leadership team.
- Reviews transponder usage for fraud, and deletes transponders from sold, transferred and/or wrecked tractors.
- Aids in the payment of approximately 20 million annually in transponder and toll charges, ensuring proper cost controls are in place and payments made timely.
- Handles daily calls regarding toll and/or weigh station issues, Permit questions and/or other caller issues as needed.
- Researches and ensures payment of toll violations, ensuring compliance.
- Works with Driver Leaders to assist in driver understanding of toll processes and compliance/regulatory items.
- Works with tax group regarding NY and MA tolls and miles on these toll roads to ensure proper tax compliance.
- Assists in renewal of annual fleet permits by state, maintaining database of all state permits with expiration dates and necessary requirements.
- Maintains database of all state bonds and renewal dates; works with insurance group to ensure necessity of these bonds and renew them as needed; requests new bonds as required.
- Assists in answering questions on international loads from Canada and Mexico with new US Customs ACE requirements.
- Assists with the distribution of annual permits and insurance to each terminal/driver manager; follow-ups with messages to ensure the permits were received and distributed to the drivers.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications: What you need to bring
- 1-2 years in an office envirement. AS400 experience helpful but not required. Prior trucking industry experience helpful but not required.
- Must be self-motivated, team player, able to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-volume, transaction-based operation and consistently meet deadlines. Excellent organizational skills, communication skills (oral and written), and Customer Service skills are essential. Individuals must also be proficient in the use of MS Word and Excel, as well as basic office equipment (copy machine, fax machine, telephones).
- High School diploma or GED.
